Round out your database without lifting a finger
Your ability to follow up with leads depends on knowing more about them. Thankfully, Contactually has partnered with FullContact to take some of the work off your shoulders. FullContact uses a variety of sources to append profile photos, job titles, companies, websites, and social media profiles to your contacts, based on their email address. This service is enabled for all contacts and is run when the contact is first created, along with periodic updates.
In addition, Contactually offers a third-party signature analyzing service, which will add job titles, companies, addresses, phone numbers, and more to your contacts, based on extracting that data from their email signature. This service is optional, and can be enabled at the bottom of the Email Accounts page.
Can I opt out of automatic data appends?
You cannot opt-out of FullContact data appends, but you can choose not to enable email signature analysis or you may turn it off at any time.
Why do some of my contacts have added information but not others?
Professional contact information is not available for everyone. Social media information may be be blocked by the privacy settings that your contact has enabled. Additionally, many people have multiple email addresses, so it is possible that their data is linked to email addresses that aren't connected to the ones that you have.
Does the information gathered replace the information already in that contact's profile?
No. All information that's automatically gathered will be added into the contact profile as additional information. Nothing from the contact profile will be deleted or replaced, even during an update from the same source (e.g. a FullContact update or another signature capture).
Are you reading my emails to gather information from my contacts' signatures?
If you enable contact signature analysis, the full email will be processed and the signature will be removed and analyzed by artificial intelligence. A human may occasionally spot-check the analysis but the content of your emails is not regularly being consumed or used during this process.
Are images from email signatures imported?
No. The profile photos associated with contacts generally come from social media profiles identified during the data append.
