Contactually's Pipelines allow you to see all your business prospects at a glance and quickly estimate potential revenue or commissions across your team.
Need to narrow down to a particular team member's Deals in progress? You can have separate Pipelines for each team member, allowing you to monitor individually.
Using a team-wide Pipeline
This setup is ideal if you want to see all your team's Deals at a glance. It will not allow you to filter down to just one or some team members' Deals.
To set up a team-wide Pipeline, create a Pipeline and, once you've completed it, click the Sharing tab to share it with all team members. Your team members can then add Deals they're working on.
In this scenario, setting Follow-Up Reminders for and attaching Programs to the Pipeline stages is not recommended. Pipeline Follow-Up Reminders and Program steps will appear only on the Pipeline creator's Dashboard, not other team members' Dashboards. As team members move their Deals through the Pipeline, they may unknowingly trigger a reminder or Program step for the Pipeline creator. It's best to use a team-wide Pipeline as simply a high-level overview.
Using Pipelines with individual team members
This setup is ideal if you as a team manager want to see how each team member's Deals are progressing. You can create a Pipeline for each team member and easily monitor what's being worked on. Ask each team member to create a Pipeline called "[Team member name]'s Pipeline" and share it with you.
It may be helpful to create a default Pipeline in your Team Library for all team members to use. Aligning Pipeline stages across the team allows you to more easily compare performance and Deal numbers.
Team members can set up and adjust Follow-Up Reminders and Programs for their own Pipelines, even if you start with standard Deal stages.
Shared Pipeline permission levels
A manager can edit sharing permissions and determine what degree of access each team member has to the Pipeline. A manager can also add, modify, and remove Deals, as well as add and remove contacts from Deals.
An editor can add, modify, and remove Deals, as well as add and remove contacts from Deals.
Only the Pipeline creator can edit the Pipeline structure (name, stages, reminders, attached Programs) in any way.
Can I create and assign a Pipeline to a team member?
You can create a Pipeline and name the stages with the intent of sharing the Pipeline with a specific team member, but any Follow-Up Reminders and Programs you attach to stages will only trigger prompts on your Dashboard, not the team members. Only the Pipeline creator can set reminders for or attach Programs to that Pipeline's stages.
Consider using the Team Library to share Pipeline templates to your team.
Can I set it so that all Pipelines are automatically shared?
