If you already have groups set up within your Google contacts, here's how to export them to Contactually to have them automatically placed in buckets.

1.  Go to your Google contact list. Locate the 'More' button at the top of the screen and click on 'Export'.

2.  In the dialog pop-up box that appears, select the contacts that you wish to export to Contactually as well as Outlook CSV format (it's simpler than the Google CSV format).

3.  Clicking on 'Export' will initiate a download of the CSV file with the information you have requested.

Once you have the file, keep in mind that you would need to match the data with existing fields in Contactually. You can create custom fields to house any data that is not native in Contactually

Default fields in Contactually are as follows: Email, First Name, Last Name, Company, Title, Bucket, Phone, PhoneExt, Address, City, State, Zip.
4. Next, go to the Contacts page in your Contactually account. On the right side of your screen click Import Contacts, as shown here.

5.  Upload the CSV file and click Submit in the dialog box that appears.

You will then be asked to map your Information (by column) to existing fields in Contactually to finish the import. You can use the option to bucket all contacts from the import into an existing bucket by clicking on the link on the top left of the mapping page.

or You can map your Google Categories column into the Bucket field in Contactually to create buckets out of the categories you have in Google Contacts. If that bucket does not already exist in Contactually, it will be created.
