There may be times that you will encounter problems with the iOS app. Here are some useful basic troubleshooting steps that you can try in order to resolve the issue:

Power Cycle your device

The step may vary from device to device but generally, all you need to do is hold the Sleep/Hold button a few seconds until this screen appears:

Slide right to power the device off. Wait 2 minutes then power the device back on. Check to see if you are no longer experiencing the issue.

Update your App

To ensure that you have the latest working version of the app, it is best that you update the app regularly and check the App Store for any available updates.

Tap the App Store icon then tap on Update. Locate the Contactually app and make sure that the app is up to date.

Contacts Sync Toggle

One other way to resolve common issues is to enable/disable the Contact Sync option in the global settings.

From your main iOS home screen, tap on Settings. On the left, look for Contactually and tap on it. On the right pane, toggle the "Contacts" switch to either on or off then relaunch the app.

Best Practice

When you run into problems, it is usually advisable to isolate and dedicate the processing power of your device to the Contactually app. To do this, close all running applications through the application switcher, then relaunch the app and see if the problem persists.

Report Bugs

The best way that we can resolve your issue is to report it to us so that we can have our engineers evaluate the situation. If the app permits you (not crashing), launch the app, tap on Settings, then tap on Report a bug. This will open a support ticket so that you can report your issue.

If the app is no longer a viable option, you can always send us an email at and let us know about what you are experiencing.
