How do I enable Link Tracking?

Use our Link Tracking feature to track if your contact clicked the link you shared.

When sending a follow-up to a contact via Contactually, you can set your Link Tracker by following these steps:

1) Create your link in the follow-up modal by setting the text for the link. Then, highlight the text that will contain the link.

2) Once the text has been highlighted, click the ‘Link’ option.

3) A small window will pop-up wherein you can set your link behavior. You can set the behavior of the link when clicked in the ‘Target’ tab and modify the link in the ‘Advanced’ tab.

After setting the right behaviour for the link, click ‘OK’.

4) The selected text's color will change to blue and it will be underlined as well.

5) After setting up your link, make sure to tick the 'Click' checkbox. Then, hit 'Send'.

  • Any links utilized while using our Content Sharing feature can also be tracked.
  • Link tracking may not always work as some email providers sometimes don't automatically recognize hyperlinks.

There are two ways to view if your contact clicked the link.

1)       Contact’s Profile Page
Search for the contact then go to the contact’s profile page by clicking their name. Look for the follow-up with the link you recently sent and check the click icon (circle icon with a small mouse pointer). The icon will be highlighted blue if the link was clicked.

2)       View Sent/Scheduled Page
Go to your Dashboard. Located on the right side of 'My Actions' section, click the 'View Messages' link. The Click icon
should be highlighted blue if the link was clicked.
