Contactually and Twitter

Last Updated: Oct 20, 2016 04:52PM EDT
Contactually automatically gathers your contact's social profile information based on their email. The more email addresses you have for a contact the higher the possibility that we will be able to find the Twitter handle.

Twitter integration is only available for users under the free trial and paid subscriptions.

To connect your Twitter account with Contactually:

1. Go to Settings then Social.

2. Look for the Twitter integration and click Connect.

How does the Twitter integration work?

Our Twitter integration will match Twitter handles to contacts that already exist in Contactually. If you have a Twitter contact but they are not currently in Contactually, we will not add them or pull in their Twitter handle. We do not pull in followers or people you follow as there will be times that it is a company or people that you do not directly know (celebrities etc). We do not want to clutter Contactually. There is no way to filter between person and fun accounts.

You will also be able to start following your contacts. You can do this through the contact's profile page. On the right side, you will see Social Connections. You will see the prompt to follow their Twitter profile. This is only doable if the system was able to find their Twitter profile or you have manually added their Twitter handle. If not, then you will be prompted to add a Twitter handle.

See support article on adding social networks.
